4 day tour Melbourne to Adelaide - Oceans, Forest, Mountain, Caves and Wine

Why not make your journey to Adelaide something extra special by taking our 4 day Oceans, Mountains, Caves and Wine tour.

This tour begins in Melbourne on day 1 and travels along the world famous Great Ocean Road, visiting many of the iconic sites as well as some hidden gems.

Beautiful seaside villages, lookouts perched high above the ocean, wildlife in its natural environment and naturally the 12 Apostles and many more incredible limestone features along the coast.

We stay overnight in Port Campbell before visiting more of the coastal region and Tower Hill an extinct volcanic crater and wildlife area.

Then its off to Halls Gap and the rugged beauty of Gariwerd (The Grampians) where we will visit lookouts that stand atop these ancient sandstone mountains, Brambuk Cultural Centre to learn the Creation of Bunjil (the wedge tailed eagle). We stay overnight in Halls Gap where seeing kangaroos, wallabies and emus in the wild are a distinct possibility.

We then travel onto Mount Gambier in South Australia to see the spectacular Blue Lake nestled within an inactive volcanic crater and some of the sink holes and caves near the town.

Day 4 we travel to the Coonawarra, one of Australia’s finest wine regions where you can taste some of the regions world class red wines.

After lunch we will then travel to Naracoorte to explore the limestone caves at one of the world’s most important fossil sites. These caves contain Australia’s largest and most diverse collection of fossils and mega fauna.

After leaving the caves we travel onto Adelaide stopping for dinner at the early German settlement of Hahndorf on the outskirts of Adelaide.
